29 new players in the Cup
2010-03-01 00:25The deadline for player registrations during the winter break of the CEE Rugby Cup has passed. The 8 teams have registered 29 players, including 4 transferred players.

All eight participating teams of the 2009/10 CEE rugby Cup have finalised their squad lists for the play-offs. There were a lot of last minute registrations, but everyone managed to squeeze in before the 00:00 1st March deadline.
Four teams have maximized the 5-player limit as Arad, Donau Wien, Timisoara and Vitézek have strengthened their squads with the most possible additions (due to administrative errors, Arad even have a supernumerary player, now they have until Wednesday to decide who they wish to withdraw). Ricany have changed three while Baia Mare, Bulldogok and Dragon Brno settled for two.
The biggest names with no doubt arrived to Arad and Baia Mare with the former adding one (Vasile Rus), and the latter two Romanian internationals (Csaba Gál, Stefan Ciuntu) to their forces. (However, Arad have signed more internationals during the winter but most of them are not registered to the CEE Rugby Cup.)
Arad were also in the center of transfers as 4 of their former players have signed to other CEE Rugby clubs - Marius Floroiu to Bulldogok, and Cosmin Chiroiu, Claudiu Nacuta, and Ionel Cristian Podea to Timisoara.
